The Service Status of the iLO5 registered in checkmk is not updating

–OMD Version2.3.0p20.cre

I want to monitor the status of the HP server’s iLO through SNMP in checkmk. So, I registered the iLO.

However, only data comes in when I first register it. After that, the “State” shows “OK,” but the “Checked” time keeps increasing. Naturally, the data in the “Summary” is not updating.
I tried restarting the iLO, and at that time, the “Checked” time changed to 0s. However, the data is still not updating, and the “Checked” time is increasing again.
I tried using the “cmk debug” command to check for errors, but I noticed that the “Checked” time changed back to 0s.
I’m wondering how to set it to update the data every 3 minutes.

I think that this is the reason for the problem.
I would try the following :

  • Reboot the ilo
  • Update the ilo board to a recent version, i think it is 3.11
  • Switch to the redfish plugin

Beside the points from @aeckstein you should also switch of the configured “Management board” feature. In your output it fetches data for management board and normal SNMP.
I would strongly recommend to disable all SNMP interface checks on such an iLO interface. This takes a huge amount of time in most cases.

Here you see that your configuration sees two times the same checks.
And sadly the management interface don’t respect the feature that already fetched SNMP don’t need to be fetched twice. It does exactly this :wink:
