Unable to disable/delete PING service

OS version: Debian 12

Error message:

Hello all,
we have a server that we don´t want it to be discoverable via ping, we configured it in our Firewall and everything worked as expected, except that CheckMK sees the Server as DOWN and obviously it is not (we can see all the other services). So we would like to delete/disable the PING service on the server, but seems impossible.

Any ideas?

What you can do is, set the “Host check command” to the status of the “Check_MK” service if the host is reachable with agent or SNMP.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry but I don´t understand that. Where in our CheckMK RAW can be disable/delete the PING service for that host?

Now you can create a rule for your host where no ping is possible.
