My single site raw cre install of 2.2.0p7 is not allowing me to upgrade to latest version 2.2.0p17.
It says:
Site ict uses version 2.1.0p9.cre which is not installed.
Please reinstall that version and retry this command.
But everywhere else ( like in omd itself and in the web gui) it claims and says it is already on 2.2.0p7 ?
Here are some steps with info of what it reports.
omd versions
2.1.0p9.cre
2.2.0p7.cre (default)
omd sites
SITE VERSION COMMENTS

Any feedback or info how to solve this?
Do I need to somehow get the old rhel 8 rpm for 2.1.0p9 and install it? or unpack some of it’s contents to somewhere on disk?
Surely I am not the first and there are some docs on how to go about solving this?
It is a little bit strange that you have such a folder for apache as a leftover from an older version.
The only thing what you can look at, is inside the “~/etc/” folder in your site if there is somewhere a file with “2.1.0p9”.
I think the last upgrade from 2.1.0p9 to 2.2.0p7 was not without error messages.
Oh this looks like a very old instance that was migrated from Consols OMD version to CheckMK OMD.
Important are not these files with the endings you mentioned. More important are the files with “2.1.0p9” in the content.
the omd cmd line and the web gui both say I am on version 2.2.0p7 cre.
but when trying to do the omd upgrade from 2.2.0p7 to latest 2.2.0p17 it tells me it is missing 2.1.0p9 in order to do an upgrade.
So I seem stuck as that old version cannot be downloaded anymore and Check_MK feedback who are listed as the email to ask for older downloads do not respond ( tried twice so far)
Is there a file I can remove or a symlink I need to point to somewhere else? How do I go about fixing this? BTW FYI the ONLY file under etc that has 2.1.0p9.cre in it is
etc/init.d/pnp_gearman_worker-2.1.0p9.cre
I also spotted two other file collections when searching for files ending in .orig under etc on that site …
