Update on GitHub Pull Requests

Dear Checkmk community,

we had to re-write our git-repo history last week, resulting in all open pull requests to be auto-closed. While we are able to re-open many, unfortunately, we learned that re-opening a PR which was force-rebased, is not possible (see isaacs/github#361).

In the last months, our developers focused on the Checkmk 2.3 release. At the moment we are
a) focusing on support tickets
b) working heavily on progressing on the big 2.4 projects (distributed piggyback, rework of dynamic configuration, new approach for notifications, fast setup for e.g. cloud monitoring, synthetic monitoring extensions). Some of this big projects are tackling fundamental concepts in Checkmk and have therefore an inherent stability risk. Doing these projects early on helps us mitigate risks properly and ensure stable Checkmk release.

As a consequence we will not be able to process pull requests until end of August (also because in August most folks here are on summer vacation). We ask for your understanding here. Feel free to continue opening pull requests - we value them and we will eventually deal with all of them. We specifically planned capacity for such topics in the “second part” of our release cycle for Checkmk 2.4.
