Error message:
Since the upgrade from 2.1.0p23 to 2.1.0p26 the system load is very high and many checks run into a timeout.
any ideas why this happens and what to do?
We are seeing a similar effect.

Can you upload a graph of e.g. the last 8 hours? Maybe there is some periodicity better visible.
Ok, I just got informed that r.sander has already opened a ticket for the issue (SUP-13661). Further processing will be done there , and at the me or r.sander may post the solution here.

No, unfortunately not. 2.1.0p27 did not make it better.
sad to hear that, hope they can fix that soon!
After reading this post we also checked our system as we had some unusual load spikes the last couple of days.
analysing the data - it seems it already started the day we lifted from 2.0.x → 2.1.0p16 which you can clearly see in the graph. (November)
