CMK version: 2.1.0p2
OS version: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Error message: No SNMP Services received anymore, only the standard SNMP infos
Hi,
we upgraded check_mk RAW from 2.0.0p25 to 2.1.0p2. Everthing went well, we needed some time to activate TLS between the new agents and the server.
Today we recognize that we do not get any services over SNMP from our printers: cartridge filling status, tray information etc. - SNMP is still running (v3 , but for testing we also reactivate v2c).
With snmpwalk I get full information of the printer with all parts, which were reported as services in version 2.0:
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.1 Cyan Toner Cartridge S/N:CRUM-16081306589
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.2 Magenta Toner Cartridge S/N:CRUM-17072304914
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.3 Yellow Toner Cartridge S/N:CRUM-21092726562
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.4 Black Toner Cartridge S/N:CRUM-17022095441
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.5 Cyan Imaging Unit (OPC Unit) S/N:CRUM-13022149733
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.6 Magenta Imaging Unit (OPC Unit) S/N:CRUM-18033093765
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.7 Yellow Imaging Unit (OPC Unit) S/N:CRUM-16072502667
.1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.6.1.8 Black Imaging Unit (OPC Unit) S/N:CRUM-19020128072
But in v2.1 these parts are not recognized any more.
We had to ajust the global timeout for SNMP (from 1s → 5s), with the default the snmpwalk didn’t work, but with 5s timeout it works. In the host we did several rescans and “tabula rasa” without any effect.
We see just the general services at the host: CPU, Uptime, Network Interface and the snmp_info.
Are we missing a specific configuration in 2.1 for receiving the other services?
Does somebody has similar problems?

Christoph Weidmann
