Virtual Center Agent - how can i change defined user for agent?

Hello
A collegue had configured checkmk server and made also some setting for our vmware virtual center. Now this collegue left company and nobody is familiar with checkmk.
My problem is now that checkmk try to check virtual center with an user which was deleted and i get each minutes on eventlog of virtual center a message logged userid … doesn’t exist.
How can i change userid ?

The ruleset is called Check state of VMWare ESX via vSphere.

Hi Robert,
sorry but problem is not solved.
I have changed userid but i get always “old userid” in vmware message ! I can’t find any other entry im check_mk.
Message in vsphere is, that wrong userid from check_mk host tries to logon !
Any other hints ?

yes, there is the correct userid defined ! How can i check if another service tries to logon with wrong userid ?

try to find out more detals in the Vmware-Logfiles .
2)
check the type of the agent configured for your host

Hello,
i found some strange things.

  1. this host was not correctly definied, therefore it was unable to get properties from this host.
    image
  2. I have added this host to system - always still error messages
  3. i made a restart of check_mk - correct new defined userid from VC makes a sucessfull login !

I hope this will work in the future

seems as if you setup is out of date.
1.6p11 is the latest one with tons of bug-fixes since 1.6.0.

Also, did you activate the changes under WATO -> Activate pending changes ?

Yes, this was exactly the problem !
It was very frustrating because i have seen the “correct settings” but i got an error from “old” setting.
