Weekday versus weekend: File monitoring

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

I would like to set up monitoring for these specific files that need to comply by these business rules:

  • Only check during weekdays
  • Only alert if the file is older than 24h
  • Only check between 08.00 and 19.00

I’ve set up a new time period:

I’ve tested this with specific time rages for the different days and then not filling in the weekend days, but that doesn’t seem to matter

I’ve added the file monitor to the cfg file and copied the mk_filestats2.py (because python version 2.x)
I receive the data in my server but CheckMK doesn’t seem to listen to the time period defined: I still get a warning stating that the file is too old.

Nevermind, it does work.
Only on Mondays the file is created @ 18u which means that at the moment of the check, the file is actually older.
I adjusted my time range on monday from 18.10 - 19.00 and now it should be good.
