I am having an issue with WMI cpu utilisation on one server that appears to be being caused by Check_MK.
Shortly after the agent service starts the WMI Provider Host service jumps to 50% and stays there. I have uninstalled the agent and done a clean re-install but the issue re-occurs shortly after the service starts.
I don’t seem to have this issue on any other servers so wondered if anyone has experienced something similar and might be able to shed some light on what is causing this to happen.
Well, this is obviously an issue on the Windows end. I think there are ways to clean the WMI database and similar, so you probably want to look in that direction.
Are there any special plugins you are using on that host?

Pls. try first winmgmt /verifyrepository
In the worst case you need to recover the WMI DB.
There are plenty of articles in the internet how to do this.
