We have updated our CheckMK installation without any problems.
But now we still have the old version in the “Checkmk dashboard” under Site overview.
I think this info is coming from the checkmk agent inventory plugin that is usally only called every few hours or daily, but you can manually trigger the inventory service to collect the current infos.
correct this is inventory based, I think @theyken has it on the long UX todo list that dashboards that include cached/inventory data should somehow indicate that by design the data might be outdated.
Very good point @gstolz, thanks for tagging me! I will do some digging on this.
We still have the issue, but we gues it has noting to do with the invertory in our case.
After we installed redfish via pip, we had some issues with urllib3 and requests libraries in OMD’s python virtual environment. And now we have this issue as shown on the picture above. Not sure if the issue is related to this problem we had with python libraries. Does anyone have an idea why this view is not working and what should we check?
Do you have installed the new checkmk agent on the checkmk server that is including the inventory plugin ?
Thanks, inventory plugin fixed the problem.
