Hi,
I get the following warning:
···
WARN - actual speed 8Gbit/s, In: 18.74 MB/s, Out: 1.09 MB/s, no TX buffer credits: 3.03%WARN, Phy:inSync(6), Op:online(1), Adm:online(1)
Is there a chance that I can ignore only the „no TX buffer credits“ value, without disabling the whole service? Before using check_mk I didn’t even know that this „error“ occurs. Everything works fine.
Using 1.2.6p12 as part of OMD
Thank you,
Andreas

In wato you can create a rule. For some odd reason in mine it is under
"Storage, Filesystems, and Files", but it is called "Brocade
FibreChannel ports". If you create one of these rules, there is a check
box called "No-TxCredits errors". Check that and enable your config and
you should be good.

Hi Andreas,
beside the information from Patrick regarding the rule to ignore “no tx-buffer credits” it is important i think that this error counter should be no percentage value but an absolute value.
I by myself set this error counter to 101% and inspect the graph from time to time. If this counter reaches values around 10-20k it should be inspected as this can cause problems inside your fibre channel infrastructure.
I will try to propose a change to MK team about this check.
Best regards
Andreas

I agree. In several independent FC setups, I've seen that Check_MK's
current threshold handling is very far from providing a decent out-of-the-
box experience.
It think: Ideally, the absolute value should be used for small traffic
volumes (low total frame rates), while a relative threshold should be
used for ports that have high frame rates.

Hi all,
just for documentation: I have created a rule to ignore the "no TX buffer" values.
Thanks everyone for your help!
Best regards,
Andreas
