Has anyone ever tried to integration notifications into Jira (or another ticketing system) so that tickets are created for critical alerts then updated (the ticket) if someone acks the alert and have the ticket be
closed when the alert clears?
Opening a ticket is easy by sending an email and Jira will parse the email and open it… updating and closing existing tickets is much more difficult since Check_Mk would need to get and keep track
of the ticket number or Jira would need to know that additional alerts/acks/recoveries are for a specific ticket.
Or you can use an incident management system. Either you use Cito_Engine, Nagios’s Incident Manager or PagerDuty/OpsGenie/etc to manage your incidents.
