CMK version: 2.0.0p25
Hey,
if I’m right CMK brings the plugins to monitor a IBM Tape Library TS3200. I’ve added the Host and enabled SNMP (v3) but the only thing/check I get is “snmp info” and “uptime”.
I can do an snmpwalk with the OIDs and I get an answer from the host. So how do I tell cmk that its a 3200 and it should use the onboard checks?

Hi Josef,
sounds like maybe the TS3200 has the same issue as the 4300
I’ve seen this on a few TS4300 recently (no pattern regarding firmware version)
solution was to set the device to “Hosts without system description OID” and then manually discover the checks.
for check in $(cmk -L | grep -E "ibm_tl|storage_ts" | cut -d " " -f1); do cmk -Iv --checks $check <HOSTNAME>; done

Hi.
Today I added a new IBM Tape Library check in CheckMk Exchange. It’s available for version 2.0 and above. I think it will be available soon.
Best regards,
Christian

Hi.
It’s under review at tribe29 since some weeks. Sorry for that. I add the solution to this answer.

Thanks for the extension. Do I have to do anything else or just load it up and do a rediscover?

Does not work for us. Maybe because we have a TS3200 ?

Hi Josef.
I think you need the system OID of TS3200. We nwwd to look in the SNMP walk to figure it out.
