We have a number of custom plugins and some extensive scripts that I will need to migrate to 2.4 and also have a few new custom plugins that I need to create, so it may be a fair amount of work to migrate them to 2.4.
I would like to check whether or not 2.5 is imminent, to avoid having to repeat the process again within a short space of time? I’m just looking for an approximate target period, like next-month, end-of-this-year, next-year etc.
I didn’t see that on the roadmap or any searches. Any thoughts appreciated.
If you migrate correctly to 2.3/2.4 API then the custom plugin will also work in 2.5.
The only things needed to be changed between 2.4 and 2.5 are custom view definition inside your extensions. This is only used most times if you have to define HW/SW inventory tables.
Inside my test environment all the 2.4 plugins also work inside daily 2.5 builds.
Release date should be before the next CheckMK conference this June.
