Hello Community ![]()
It’s time for our annual Beta Testing!
We have already tested the new Checkmk version 2.4.0 in selected real productive environments. Now, we need your help to ensure it works well across diverse environments and use cases.
How you can participate
To help us test Checkmk and be among the first to try out new features:
- Download the beta version.
- Install it in a test environment. If you’re unsure how to set one up, the “Setting up your own Checkmk staging environment” slides may help.
- Try out different features. If your monitoring setup includes specific corner cases, now is the time to test them.
- Report any issues you encounter:
- If you purchased your Checkmk subscription directly from Checkmk or if you have a Partner Contract:
Please report issues via the Beta Support Portal. - If you purchased your subscription through an official Checkmk partner:
Submit your issue through your partner—they can report it free of charge in the Beta Support Portal.
Please note: the beta reporting portal is free of charge, so if you have a contract with Checkmk directly, a Partner Contract, or have a contract with a partner, please use the portal.
- If you do not have a subscription or partner contract (please only use this option if neither above applies to you):
Report issues in the beta forum category.
What to report
If you encounter any issues while using the beta version on an unmodified installation (no custom code changes to the Checkmk software), please let us know. A bug report is helpful when something does not work as expected.
When reporting a bug, please include as much detail as possible:
- Steps to reproduce the issue
- Actual behavior
- Error messages (if applicable)
- Expected behavior
- Your setup details
- OS version
- Screenshots (if applicable)
- Any other relevant information
Providing clear and detailed reports helps us address issues faster.
Why participate?
By testing Checkmk Beta, you not only help us release a more stable version, but you also ensure that your setup is tested and any necessary fixes are applied with higher priority - in most cases before the official release.
Thank you for your support!
