Hi @andreas-doehler,

we have two FSAS RX2540M7 Servers with three raidcontrollers onboard. 1 Controller is raid1 with 2 ssd’s (500GB) and the other two raidcontroller are holding a raid 5 with 7 drives (4TB) equally.

When i made a service discovery i am only getting drives from storage0 (drive0 and 1 500GB) and storage1 (drives0-7 4TB). From storage2 i do not see any drives. The drive IDs per storage are the same identically, so i think the check plugin runs through the drive ids and overrides same ids!? Only if the drives are from different manufacturers or have different size they will be listed and able to monitor.

If i test with curl to get an output from the redfish api i get listed three storage0 / 1 / 2 with separate drives …/storage/0/drives/0-1/, …/storage/1/drives/0-7/ and …/storage/2/drives/0-7/ .

Sorry for no reply to this post. I think i not saw it in December.

You can check if this also happens with the new version released today for 2.3 or if you updated in the mean time to 2.4 you can install the “readfish_extension” mkp linked here Redfish extensions for existing integration in CMK 2.4 until the code is in the normal CMK mainline.

I had some changes inside the code for Item names to prevent the problem from your post.

Drives with the same ID are not listed.

I see what’s the problem. The HW/SW inventory shows all drives and i see here that there are 7 drives on two controllers with exactly the same name on booth controllers. :frowning:

The drives 2 - 6 are connected to Storage controller 1 Type: PRAID EP520i and the same constellation is connected to Storage controller 2 Type: PRAID EP520i which is not discovered!

You need to create a “Redfish Physical Drive discovery” rule first.
I wrote the How-To inside the Redfish thread here - Redfish extensions for existing integration in CMK 2.4

Without this rule the check behaves as before.
