This problem still exist to this day, can there be a permanent native solution from checkmk self? Instead of a workaround fix which has to be updated again after a new check mk update.

If you keep this modification inside the ~/local/ directory structure then you don’t need to modify it after every update.
The problem here are the devices not following the “specification”. In my fix i only assume that there are no devices with more than 1000 Watt PoE are existing.
Thanks for your reply, then we will just disable the wrong values and replace the switch in the future.
